CBO Oversight Act

Legislation Details

Amends the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974.
Requires the Director of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to provide testimony at annual hearings.
The hearings are to be held by the Committees on the Budget of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The Director must testify at two hearings each calendar year, upon request from the committee chairs.
Hearings may cover any issues deemed appropriate by the Committees, including the accuracy of baseline projections and estimates from the previous fiscal year.
Includes a clerical amendment to the table of contents of the Act to reflect the new section on annual hearings.
