Legislation Details
- Amends the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974.
- Requires the Director of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to provide testimony at annual hearings.
- The hearings are to be held by the Committees on the Budget of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
- The Director must testify at two hearings each calendar year, upon request from the committee chairs.
- Hearings may cover any issues deemed appropriate by the Committees, including the accuracy of baseline projections and estimates from the previous fiscal year.
- Includes a clerical amendment to the table of contents of the Act to reflect the new section on annual hearings.
