Directs the Secretary of Defense to provide voter registration application forms to individuals enlisting or being commissioned in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Space Force who are eligible to register to vote.
Requires the Secretary to inquire about the individual’s eligibility to register to vote and provide assistance in completing the registration form if requested.
Prohibits any influence on the individual’s political preferences or discouragement from registering to vote during the process.
Mandates the Secretary to seek agreements with state election officials to facilitate the voter registration process.
Amends the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act to ensure electronic transmission of ballots for absent uniformed services voters if no preference is indicated.
Requires timely updates to state election officials regarding changes in address or uniformed service status for registered voters.
Allows absent uniformed services voters to use a single absentee ballot application for subsequent elections.
Prohibits states from refusing to process early submitted voter registration or absentee ballot applications from absent uniformed services voters.
Requires an evaluation of the accuracy and timeliness of voter registration information provided to absent uniformed services voters upon their transfer to new duty stations.
