Legislation Details
- Prohibits the imposition of requirements for handguns to have specific features not commonly found in firearms.
- Aims to restore civil and natural rights for individuals in states perceived as hostile to liberty.
- Amends Chapter 44 of Title 18, United States Code, to include a new section (927A).
- Prevents federal, state, or local entities from enforcing laws that require handguns to:
- Indicate whether they are loaded.
- Prevent firing without a fully inserted ammunition magazine.
- Microstamp shell casings with identifying information.
- Incorporate devices or mechanisms designed to perform any of the above functions or that can be easily modified to do so.
- Accept attachments for any devices or mechanisms described.
- Includes a clerical amendment to update the table of sections in the relevant code.
