  • Establishes the Ocmulgee Mounds National Park and Preserve in Georgia.
  • Redesignates Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park as Ocmulgee Mounds National Park.
  • Allows the Secretary of the Interior to acquire land for the National Park and Preserve.
  • Prohibits the use of eminent domain for acquiring land.
  • Establishes an Ocmulgee Mounds National Preserve once sufficient land has been acquired.
  • Requires the Secretary to file maps and legal descriptions of the park and preserve.
  • Directs the administration of the park and preserve as a single unit of the National Park System.
  • Mandates co-management of the park and preserve with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

  • Transfers approximately 126 acres of land owned by the Tribe within the park and preserve into trust for the benefit of the Tribe.
  • Authorizes necessary appropriations to implement the Act.
