Requires public institutions of higher education receiving federal funds to provide opioid overdose rescue kits.
Institutions must have these kits available in classrooms, libraries, laboratories, dormitories, and other relevant facilities.
Kits should be placed near automated external defibrillators when feasible.
Emergency medical services personnel at the institution must carry the kits.
The location of each kit must be registered with the institution’s health center or campus emergency services.
Institutions are responsible for replacing used or expired kits as needed.
A list of kit locations must be made available through the institution’s health center or emergency services.
Training on the use and location of the kits must be provided during student orientation programs.
