The Director of the program will provide technical and financial assistance to support covered entities in conservation efforts.
A competitive grant program will be established to fund eligible entities for research, planning, management, and training related to urban bird conservation.
Eligible entities include federal, tribal, state, municipal agencies, non-governmental organizations, community groups, and academic institutions.
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation will administer the grant program.
Authorizes $1,000,000 annually for fiscal years 2025 through 2031, with adjustments for inflation starting in fiscal year 2026.
