Advocating for funding for the Florida Keys Water Quality Improvement from the House Energy and Water Appropriations Committee through the Community Project Funding process in the FY26 Corps of Engineers Energy and Water Appropriations bill which will receive a bill number once it has been marked up in Full Appropriations Committee in early July. The FY26 Energy and Water Appropriations Bill is HR 4553, abd H. Rept. 119-213. It has been marked uo by the House Energy and Water Appropriations SubCommittee and referred to the full House by a Committee vote of 35-27, Action by the Senate awaits tje return of the Congress. The House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee provided $5,578 million for the Florida Keys Water Quality Improvement Project in the "Construction" Section of the Committee Report H. RPT. 119.213 and PL 119-74.
