Referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and in addition to the Committee on Homeland Security, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
This bill would make it easier for parents, guardians, and caregivers to go with kids or people who need help all the way to the airport gate. The FAA and TSA would set up a system so these helpers can get special gate passes, and if they already have TSA PreCheck, those passes would let them use the faster PreCheck line like a normal ticket would. The agencies must roll this out within 180 days after the bill becomes law. A summary notes that up to two gate passes may be given for this purpose.
