SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Securing Smart Investments in our Ports Act.
SEC. 2. Port Infrastructure Development Program
- (a) Port and intermodal improvement program
- Section 54301(a)(6)(B) of title 46, United States Code, is amended—
- Port and intermodal improvement program
- in clause (ii), by striking after the semicolon;
- in clause (iii), by striking the period and inserting
; and; and- (iv) ensuring equitable geographic distribution among regions of the United States with regard to the projects selected.
- by adding at the end the following:
- (b) Assistance for small inland river and coastal ports and terminals
- Section 54301(b)(4) of title 46, United States Code, is amended—
- in subparagraph (B), by striking ;
- in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting
; and; and- ensure equitable geographic distribution among regions of the United States with regard to the projects selected.
