American politician and physician.
Served as a U.S. Representative for a New York congressional district from 1841 to 1843.
Elected as a member of the board of trustees for the village of Gaines in 1839.
Practiced medicine in Gaines, New York, before and after his congressional term.
Moved to Illinois in 1850 and continued his medical practice until his death.
Died in Galesburg, Illinois, at the age of 66 and is buried in Hope Cemetery.
