Elected to two consecutive terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1887 to 1891.
Did not seek renomination after his second term in Congress.
Returned to practicing law after his congressional service.
Passed away in Bryan, Ohio, and was interred in Fountain City Cemetery.
