  • Engaged in business as a lumber dealer in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
  • Organized member of the Society of the Cincinnati, a hereditary society of military officers.
  • Served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1794 to 1796.
  • Elected as a Federalist to the Seventh Congress, serving from 1801 to 1803.
  • Did not win reelection for the Eighth Congress in 1802.
  • Died in Columbia, Pennsylvania, in 1822 and is buried in Mount Bethel Cemetery.
