The Sunset Rule-Aircraft Impact Assessment
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is amending its regulations to insert a conditional sunset date for the requirements for aircraft impact assessment. This action is in response to Executive Order 14270, "Zero-Based Regulatory Budgeting to Unleash American Energy." The NRC has considered public input received on a previous rulemaking to sunset NRC regulations and provides in this document the NRC's response to those public comments that the NRC has deemed significant and adverse.
