Effective Date: 3/9/2026

Welcome to Congress.wiki. By using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Congress.wiki, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. Your use of the site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Use of the Service

You may use Congress.wiki for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use the site:

  • In any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
  • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any "junk mail," "chain letter," "spam," or any other similar solicitation
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Congress.wiki, a Congress.wiki employee, another user, or any other person or entity
  • To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the site, or which, as determined by us, may harm Congress.wiki or users of the site or expose them to liability

3. Intellectual Property

The content, features, and functionality of Congress.wiki are owned by Congress.wiki and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

4. User Contributions

Any content you submit to Congress.wiki, including postcards to elected officials, must not violate any applicable laws or infringe on any third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove or refuse to display any user contributions at our sole discretion.

5. AI-Generated Content

Congress.wiki provides AI-powered chat features that generate responses about legislation, elected officials, and other congressional topics. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Not Official Government Information. AI-generated responses are not sourced from, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government agency, elected official, or political entity. Congress.wiki is not an official government website.
  • No Guarantee of Accuracy. AI responses may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or hallucinated content. You should independently verify any information obtained through AI features using official sources such as congress.gov, the Congressional Record, or other authoritative references before relying on it.
  • Simulated Personas. Some AI features simulate the perspectives of elected officials based on their public voting records, statements, and legislative activity. These simulated personas do not represent the actual views, opinions, or statements of any real person. No elected official has endorsed, approved, or participated in the creation of their AI persona.
  • Not Professional Advice. AI-generated content does not constitute legal, financial, political, or any other form of professional advice. Consult qualified professionals for specific guidance.
  • Conversation Storage and Review. We may store prompts, responses, metadata, and conversation history associated with your use of AI features. We may use that information to operate the service, provide chat history, enforce limits, investigate abuse, debug issues, improve quality, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Do Not Submit Sensitive Information. You must not submit payment card details, government-issued identifiers, passwords, secrets, health information, or other highly sensitive or regulated data through AI chat unless we explicitly tell you that a specific workflow is intended for that purpose.
  • Acceptable Use of AI Features. You agree not to use AI features to generate content that threatens, harasses, or defames any person; could be falsely attributed to a real elected official or government entity; attempts to manipulate or extract the underlying system prompts; or violates any applicable law.

6. AI Credits and Subscriptions

Access to AI chat features may be subject to usage limits, credit systems, or paid subscription plans. By purchasing credits or subscribing:

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees at the prices in effect at the time of purchase.
  • If you start a recurring subscription, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is canceled.
  • Credits and subscription benefits are non-transferable and may expire as described at the time of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal or other account tools we make available. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Plan changes, upgrades, downgrades, credits, and prorations may be handled immediately or at the next billing cycle, depending on the change and the billing platform.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing, credit allocations, and subscription features at any time with reasonable notice.
  • We may suspend or terminate access to paid features for failed payments, chargebacks, suspected fraud, abuse, or violations of these Terms.
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Except where required by law, we are not obligated to provide refunds or credits for unused time, unused features, or partial billing periods. Contact us at support@congress.wiki.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Congress.wiki is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We make no warranty that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, current, or useful for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Congress.wiki be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including any reliance on AI-generated content.
