resignation as a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs:
Congress of the United States,
House of Representatives,
Washington, DC, March 25, 2026.
Hon. Mike Johnson,
Speaker, House of Representatives,
Washington, DC.
Dear Speaker Johnson: I write to respectfully tender my
resignation as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee,
effective March 25, 2026.
Serving on this Committee has been an honor and a
responsibility that I have never
taken lightly. As a Marine and a physician, I have always
believed that when duty calls, you show up, and I have tried
to do exactly that on this committee.
I remain fully committed to the security of this nation,
the strength of our alliances, and ensuring America leads on
the world stage. That mission does not end with this letter.
I look forward to continuing to serve the people of
Georgia's 7th District and this great country.
Sincerely,
Rich McCormick, MD, MBA,
Member of Congress.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Without objection, the resignation is accepted.
There was no objection.
