Act: Senate began consideration of the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 7147, making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, taking action on the following motion proposed thereto:
House message to accompany the bill. (Senate tabled the House message to accompany the bill by voice vote.) Page S1696 Pro Forma Sessions—Agreement: A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing that the Senate convene for pro forma sessions, with no business being conducted on the following dates and times: Monday, April 6, 2026, at 1 p.m.; Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 12 noon; that when the Senate adjourns on Thursday, April 9, 2026, it next convene at 3 p.m., on Monday, April 13, 2026; that Senate resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd, of Arkansas, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas; and that the motions to invoke cloture filed on Friday, March 27, 2026, ripen at 5:30 p.m., on Monday, April 13, 2026.
