RRLobbying Activities
To lobby for the Government of the United States to exercise a veto, and to otherwise oppose, the cession of the British Indian Ocean Territory in part or in whole to the Republic of Mauritius. In addition to lobby the Government of the United States to permit the return of the Chagossian people to the BIOT to the maximal extent compatible with the defence interests of the United States and United Kingdom. Also to lobby for the most effective continued long-term utilisation of the BIOT for the defence interests of the US and UK. Also to lobby for the BIOT's continued protection as the most ecologically pristine environment globally. Advocacy towards both the public and covered officials alike is anticipated.
