Oppose riders to undermine or weaken Endangered Species Act protections. FY2026 Commerce, Justice and Science Budget - support funding and report language for programs addressing illegal, unregulated and reported (IUU) fishing, ocean plastic pollution/marine debris, NOAA programs in support of marine mammal conservation, including right whales, and NIST circular economy programs; oppose riders threatening marine mammals, including protected and endangered whale species.
