Issues relating to the broadcast industry, including: preserving AM radio in automobiles (AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, H.R. 979; S. 315); supporting free, over-the-air radio by opposing any new performance tax on same (supporting Local Radio Freedom Act, H. Con. Res. 12; S. Con. Res. 8; opposing American Music Fairness Act, H.R. 861; S. 326); advocating for reform of antiquated local ownership rules applicable to television and radio broadcasters and national ownership rules applicable to television broadcasters); and other competitive matters (including preserving the tax deductibility of advertising).
