Support adequate staffing levels for government agencies, and executive branch action consistent with congressional directives. Oppose cuts to earned federal retirement and health benefits via the budget reconciliation process, including by opposing H.Con.Res.14, and opposing inclusion of provisions related to federal benefits and the merit-based civil service in H.R. 1 (and opposing H.R. 1 when included) Support bipartisan agreement on government funding. Support the Saving the Civil Service Act, H.R.492/S.134, to prohibit a return of Schedule F (or Schedule Policy/Career). Support the Equal COLA Act, H.R.491/S.624, to provide full cost-of-living adjustments (matching the change in the consumer price index) for federal retirees covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). Support the FAIR Act, H.R.493/S.126, to provide for a federal employee pay increase in calendar year 2026. Support H.R.3547/S.1861, the Servicemember Healthcare Freedom Act, to allow members of the Selected Reserve and National Guard to have the choice between military and civilian healthcare plans.
