This bill would limit Social Security “child’s benefits” for some older teens who are still in high school. If a student is 18 or older, they could lose these benefits when their parent (the worker the benefit is based on) is at least 67, already getting Social Security, and earns more than $125,000 in that tax year. In short, teens in wealthier households like this would no longer qualify for these student benefits .
