This measure lets the Senate group certain government nominations together and vote on them at the same time, instead of one-by-one. It applies to nominees for top jobs in the Departments of Defense, Energy, the Interior, and Labor, plus ambassadors to Argentina, Greece, Liechtenstein, and Sweden. The goal is to speed up confirmations so these roles can be filled more quickly during an Executive Session of the Senate .
