SEC. 1. Short title

• This Act may be cited as the Artemis Act of 2025.

SEC. 2. Exception from expedited removal for certain countries of particular concern or special watch list countries

• Section 235(b)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act () is amended— 8 U.S.C. 1225(b)(1)
  • by striking each place it appears and inserting subparagraph (F) or (H); and
    • (H) Exception for country of concern
      • Subparagraph (A) shall not apply to an alien who is a native or citizen of a country of concern or would be removed to such a country. For the purposes of this subparagraph, the term means a country designated by the Secretary of State to be a country of particular concern or is a special watch list country under section 402(b)(1)(A) International Religious Freedom Act of 1998.
