This bill changes how the Pentagon checks prices on contracts. It removes a loophole that let contractors defend themselves by saying they submitted cost or pricing data late. It also adds a rule about “freshness” of any updates: if a contractor sends updated cost or pricing data after the price is set, that update can’t be based on data more than 30 days old. The goal is to help the government get fair, accurate prices for military goods and services.
