Cybersecurity for Rural Water Systems Act

This bill adds cybersecurity help to a USDA program that already supports small rural water and wastewater systems. It requires the program to help systems serving fewer than 10,000 people check how well they protect against hackers and put plans, procedures, and technology in place to better guard their computers and equipment. The program is continued through fiscal year 2030 to keep this support going.

It also boosts funding to $32.5 million each year from 2026 through 2030, with $7.5 million each year set aside specifically for cybersecurity help. This means more hands‑on assistance for small towns to keep water service safe and reliable.
