SEC. 1. Short title

• This Act may be cited as the Defend our Coast Act.

SEC. 2. Withdrawal from disposition of Mid-Atlantic outer Continental Shelf

• Section 12 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act () is amended by adding at the end the following: 43 U.S.C. 1341
  • (g) Withdrawal from disposition of Mid-Atlantic outer Continental Shelf
    • The Secretary may not issue a lease for the exploration, development, or production of oil or gas on the outer Continental Shelf in the Mid-Atlantic Planning Area, as such planning area is depicted in the 2024–2029 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Final Program (September 2023).
