SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Dyess Air Base Access Infrastructure Design Act.
SEC. 2. Planning and design activities for infrastructure projects at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas
- (a) Tye Gate design
- (1) In general
- The Secretary of the Air Force shall carry out planning and design activities for an infrastructure project relating to the Tye Gate at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
- (2) Amount of project
- The infrastructure project for which planning and design activities are required under paragraph (1) shall be for an amount not to exceed $17,000,000, of which planning and design may not exceed seven percent.
- (3) Design activities
- Design activities required under paragraph (1) may be based on standard Air Force gate designs and shall consider minimal utility crossings, limited conflicts with built infrastructure, and simplified phasing.

- (b) Arnold Gate design
- (1) In general
- The Secretary shall carry out planning and design activities for an infrastructure project relating to the Arnold Gate at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
- (2) Amount of project
- The infrastructure project for which planning and design activities are required under paragraph (1) shall be for an amount not to exceed $12,065,000, of which planning and design may not exceed eight percent.
- (3) Design activities
- Design activities required under paragraph (1) shall account for site congestion, multiple utility connections, phased construction, and complex traffic coordination.

- (c) Use of existing amounts
- The requirements under this section shall be carried out using amounts otherwise made available to the Department of the Air Force for planning and design under military construction accounts.
