This bill would block U.S. government money from being used to help the United Nations’ “iVerify” tool, which checks and flags information, and would also block funding for any similar effort that labels speech as “mal‑,” “mis‑,” or “dis‑information.” It also stops voluntary U.S. contributions to the U.N. or other international groups if the money would support iVerify or similar projects. Any funds held back under this bill would be canceled, sent to the U.S. Treasury, and not treated as money the U.S. still owes the U.N.
