SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Hearing Device Coverage Clarification Act.
SEC. 2. Active middle ear implant coverage
- (a) In general
- Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services shall clarify that fully implanted active middle ear hearing devices are prosthetics that are not subject to the hearing aid coverage exclusion under section 1862(a)(7) of the Social Security Act (). 42 U.S.C. 1395y(a)(7)
