SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the HIV Medication Access Act.
SEC. 2. Modification of prevention activities for assistance to combat HIV/AIDS
- Section 104A(d) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 () is amended— 22 U.S.C. 2151b–2(d)
- Modification of prevention activities for
assistance to combat HIV/AIDS
- in paragraph (1)—
- in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting before ;
- in subparagraph (J), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon;
- in subparagraph (K)(viii), by striking the period at the end and inserting
; and; and- assistance to provide HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medications.
- by adding at the end the following:
- in paragraph (2)—
- subparagraph (D), by adding at the end;
and - in subparagraph (E), by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting a period; and
- subparagraph (D), by adding at the end;
- in paragraph (3)(A)—
- by inserting after ;
- by striking
efforts to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS infection includingand insertingefforts to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS infection, which shall be considered to be core life-saving humanitarian assistance, including pre- and; and - by inserting before the period at the end.
