Read twice and referred to the Committee on Environment and Public Works.
This bill says the national motto, “In God We Trust,” must be placed in a visible spot on every federal public building. The General Services Administration (the agency that manages federal buildings) would be in charge of getting this done. The change must happen within one year after the bill becomes law .
Here’s what that means for everyday people: when you visit a federal building—like a courthouse, office building, or federal agency—you would see the motto displayed or inscribed somewhere easy to notice .
