SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Investing in Digital Skills Act.
SEC. 2. Definitions
- Section 3 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act () is amended— 29 U.S.C. 3102
- by redesignating paragraphs (14) through (71) as paragraphs (15) through (72), respectively; and
- by inserting after paragraph (13) the following:
SEC. 3. Adult digital literacy skills
- (a) Purpose
- Section 202 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act () is amended— 29 U.S.C. 3271
- assist adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills (including digital literacy skills) necessary for employment, economic self-sufficiency, and full participation in all aspects of adult life;
- by amending paragraph (1) to read as follows:
- in paragraph (4)(A)—
- in clause (i), by striking at the end;
and- (iii) digital literacy skills; and
- by inserting after clause (ii) the following:
- in clause (i), by striking at the end;
- Section 202 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act () is amended— 29 U.S.C. 3271
- (b) Definitions
- Section 203 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act () is amended— 29 U.S.C. 3272
- in paragraph (1)—
- in paragraph (2), by inserting after ;
- in paragraph (9), by adding at the end the following:
- in paragraph (13), by striking
