The Modern Authentication of Pharmaceuticals Act of 2025 would require every dose of controlled‑substance pills (taken by mouth) to include a small built‑in marker to prove it’s real. These markers could be special inks, pigments, flavors, or tiny tags with unique features, and they must be on or in the pill and readable by a machine.
