SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the No Bail Post-Jail Act.
SEC. 2. Denial for pretrial release for prior incarceration
- Section 3124(e) of title 18, United States Code is amended by adding at the end the following:
- A person shall be considered to pose a danger to the safety of the community and be ineligible for release if the judicial officer finds that the person—
- is charged with a felony offense;
- is an adult or a juvenile charged as an adult with regard to the offense; and
- has a prior felony conviction for a crime of violence that resulted in the person serving not less than 30 days in a State or Federal correctional facility, not including any period of pretrial detention without conviction.
