This bill would stop all federal money from going to National Public Radio (NPR) or any group that replaces it. It also takes back unspent federal funds that would have gone to NPR in 2025 and 2026. Public radio stations would not be allowed to use federal funds to pay NPR dues or buy NPR programs. The only exception is during active disaster responses, when federal money could be used to share urgent safety information with the public .
