Of inquiry requesting the President and directing the Secretary of State to transmit to the House of Representatives any record created on or after January 20, 2025, under the control of the President or the Secretary, respectively, relating to international agreements between the United States of America and El Salvador and the removal of individuals from the United States to El Salvador and subsequent detentions of such individuals.

This House resolution asks the President and the Secretary of State to give the House of Representatives copies of all records made on or after January 20, 2025, about any U.S.–El Salvador agreements tied to removing people from the United States to El Salvador and what happens to them afterward, including detentions. It also seeks any information on U.S. funding that supports those detentions, plus legal analyses or justifications for any such agreements. In short, it’s a request for documents to aid congressional oversight; it does not change the law or immigration policy by itself . The measure was introduced by Rep. Castro of Texas on April 29, 2025, and sent to the House Foreign Affairs Committee .
