This measure asks the President to give the House information about how a federal office, the Department of Government Efficiency, gets and uses personal data from the Social Security Administration. It focuses on NUMIDENT, the SSA’s main identity database, and other personal details that the SSA holds. The goal is to check what data is being accessed, how it’s being used, and to make sure people’s information is handled properly .
It does not change anyone’s benefits or create new programs. It’s a request for facts so Congress can look into data access and privacy practices involving Social Security records .
