This bill would stop any federal money from being used to carry out or enforce “red flag” orders. It also blocks federal agencies from giving money or help to states, cities, tribes, or territories to carry out or enforce these orders. The bill defines a red flag law as a risk-based, temporary order that takes away someone’s firearm without due process, and says no federal funds can be used for that purpose .
