SEC. 1. Short title

• This Act may be cited as the Reliable Social Security Service for Seniors Act.

SEC. 2. Telephone hours at Social Security Administration offices and certain State offices

• (a) In general
  • Section 205 of the Social Security Act () is amended by adding at the end the following: 42 U.S.C. 405
    • (v) Telephone hours at Social Security Administration offices
      • The Commissioner of Social Security shall ensure that each office of the Social Security Administration is fully staffed with employees to answer calls during standard business hours, including 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, excluding Federal holidays.
• (b) Effective date
  • The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on January 1, 2027.
