SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Reorganizing Government Act of 2025.
SEC. 2. Executive reorganization amendments
- of title 5, United States Code, is amended— Chapter 9
- in section 901—
- in subsection (a)—
- (i) in paragraph (3), by inserting before the semicolon;
- (ii) in paragraph (5)—
- by striking in each place the term appears and inserting
executive departments; and - by striking
andat the end; - (iii) in paragraph (6), by striking the period and inserting
; and; and - (iv) by adding at the end the following:
- to reduce the number of federal employees;
- to amend rules, regulations, and other requirements for the purpose of decreasing the cost and difficulty of compliance thereof, and to eliminate unnecessary and burdensome rules, regulations, and other requirements; and
- to eliminate government operations that do not serve the public interest.

- (i) any executive department, agency, or independent establishment of the United States or any corporation wholly owned by the United States; and
