This bill tells U.S. Cyber Command to finish a clear plan for working with private companies on using artificial intelligence to defend and carry out cyber operations for the Department of Defense. The plan must show how the government and industry will share information, bring experts together, and turn new AI tools into real-world use for both defense and offense in cyberspace .
The plan must cover how to set up research partnerships, pick near-term use cases, handle contracts, set security clearance needs for industry partners, check if new rules or authorities are needed, set milestones and pilot programs, move tech from testing to operations, and estimate infrastructure and costs. It also asks Cyber Command to consider whether to create a new center or use existing offices to run this work. Congress must get an initial briefing and then yearly updates for a few years after that .
