Rural Behavioral Health Improvement Act of 2025

This proposal would make it easier for rural health clinics to provide mental health and substance use care to people with Medicare. It removes a current limit on how these behavioral health services can be delivered at rural clinics, so patients in small towns can get more of the care they need closer to home.

If passed, the change would start on January 1, 2027.
