SEC. 1. Short title

• This Act may be cited as the Safer Response Act of 2025.

SEC. 2. First responder training program

• Section 546 of the Public Health Service Act () is amended— 42 U.S.C. 290ee–1
  • in subsection (a), by striking tribes and tribaland inserting Tribes and Tribal;
  • in subsections (a), (c), and (d)—
    • by striking each place it appears and inserting approved, cleared, or otherwise legally marketed; and
    • by striking each place it appears;
  • in subsection (f)—
    • by striking each place it appears and inserting approved, cleared, or otherwise legally marketed;
    • in paragraph (1), by striking ;
    • in paragraph (2)—
      • (i) by striking opioid and heroinand inserting opioid, heroin, and other drug; and
      • (ii) by striking opioid overdoseand inserting overdose; and
    • in paragraph (3), by striking ; and
  • in subsection (h), by striking $36,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023and inserting $57,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
