SEC. 2. Directing State Medicaid fraud control units to investigate and prosecute beneficiary fraud

• (a) In general
  • Section 1903(q)(3) of the Social Security Act () is amended— 42 U.S.C. 1396b(q)(3)
    • by inserting after each place it appears;
    • by inserting after ; and
    • by inserting before .
• (b) Conforming change
  • Section 1902(a)(61) of the Social Security Act () is amended by inserting after each place it appears. 42 U.S.C. 1396a(a)(61)
• (c) Effective date
  • The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply beginning on the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.
