SEC. 1. Short title
- This Act may be cited as the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2025.
SEC. 2. Advanced nursing education grants
- Section 811 of the Public Health Service Act () is amended— 42 U.S.C. 296j
- in subsection (a)(2), by striking and inserting the following: “programs, including individuals enrolled in—
- authorized nurse practitioner programs described in subsection (c);
- authorized nurse-midwifery programs described in subsection (d);
- authorized nurse anesthesia programs described in subsection (e); and
- authorized clinical nurse specialist programs described in subsection (f).

SEC. 3. Strengthening capacity for nurse education and practice
- (a) In general
- Part D of title VIII of the Public Health Service Act () is amended— 42 U.S.C. 296p et seq.

- in subsection (a)—
- (i) in paragraph (1), by striking after the semicolon;
- (ii) in paragraph (2), by striking
methodologies.and insertingmethodologies, audiovisual or other equipment, simulation and augmented reality resources, telehealth technologies, and virtual and physical laboratories; or; and - (iii) by adding at the end the following:
- increasing the number of faculty and students at schools of nursing in order to address nursing workforce shortages.

striking37,837,000 for each of fiscal years 2021 through 2025and insertinginserting84,337,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030; and - in subsection (b), by striking
striking17,135,000 for each of the fiscal years 2021 through 2025and insertinginserting21,135,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
