SEC. 1. Authority to make grants to entities that assist homeless veterans: expansion; criteria

• (a) Expansion
  • Section 2011 of title 38, United States Code is amended, in subsection (a), by adding at the end the following new paragraphs:
    • Assistance in obtaining any benefit under laws administered by the Secretary for which the veteran may be eligible.
    • Assistance in obtaining and coordinating other benefits—
      • under Federal, State, or local law; or
      • from a private nonprofit organization or consumer cooperative, as such terms are defined in section 2044 of this title.
• (b) Criteria
  • Such section is further amended, in subsection (b)(1)(A), by inserting after .
