SEC. 1. Delisting of lesser prairie-chicken
- (a) In general
- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the lesser prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus pallidicinctus), including each distinct population segment of the lesser prairie-chicken, is removed from the lists of threatened species and endangered species that are published pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (). 16 U.S.C. 1531 et seq.
- (b) Exclusion of lesser prairie-Chicken from listing
- Section 4(a) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 () is amended— 16 U.S.C. 1533(a)
- in paragraph (1), by striking
The Secretary shall by regulationand insertingExcept as provided in paragraph (4), the Secretary shall by regulation; and- (4) Applicability to lesser prairie-chicken
- The Secretary may not make a determination under this subsection that the lesser prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus pallidicinctus) is threatened or endangered.
- (4) Applicability to lesser prairie-chicken
- by adding at the end the following:
- in paragraph (1), by striking
- Section 4(a) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 () is amended— 16 U.S.C. 1533(a)
