• This Act may be cited as the or the .

SEC. 2. Expansion of goals of tornado warning improvement and extension program

• Section 103 of the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017 (; relating to the tornado warning improvement and extension program) is amended— 15 U.S.C. 8513
  • by striking and inserting the following:
    • (1) In general
      • The goal of such program
    • (2) Additional focuses
      • In carrying out paragraph (1), the Under Secretary shall ensure the development of innovative tornado forecasts, predictions, and warnings, with a particular focus on the following:
        • Fast-developing storm systems, such as derechos.
        • Areas historically absent of tornadoes.
        • Evening or nighttime tornadoes.
