• This Act may be cited as the Youth Suicide Prevention Research Act.

SEC. 2. NSF research regarding childhood suicide

• Subsection (a) of section 3 of the Advancing Research to Prevent Suicide Act () is amended— 42 U.S.C. 1862v
  • in paragraph (4), by striking after the semicolon;
  • by redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (7); and
    • basic understanding of the role of adverse childhood experiences;
    • basic understanding of the role of toxic stress in childhood; and
  • by inserting after paragraph (4) the following new paragraphs:
