Submission for OMB Review, Comment Request, Proposed Collection: 2027-2029 IMLS Grant Application Forms

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announces that the following information collection has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This process helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. This Notice proposes clearance of the IMLS Grant Application Forms for fiscal year (FY) 2027 through FY 2029. Notice of Proposed Information Collection Requests: 2026-2028 Grant Performance Report Forms

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This pre-clearance consultation program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The purpose of this Notice is to solicit comments concerning renewal of the three-year approval of the forms necessary to report on grant and cooperative agreement activities on an interim and final basis for all IMLS grant programs for 2026-2028 Grant Performance Report Forms.
